About the belt performing arts center
bringing theater and the performing arts
to central montana
The Belt performing arts center's mission is to advance youth, amateur and professional performing arts productions while enriching the lives of rural central Montana residents through exposure and participation in the humanities.
Our goals are to provide a home stage for the Belt Shakespeare Players, a stage for summer stock performances, lead the preservation and promotion of historic downtown Belt, and provide a world-class and affordable gathering place for our community.
Our center is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the historic Knights of Pythias theater building. After over twenty (20) years of dedicated effort in raising the funds necessary to restore this iconic building, serious renovation and reconstruction began in 2016 and was completed in May 2018. The Center intends to provide a world-class performing arts venue for the benefit of residents and visitors to central Montana.
